“Siempre voy a estar contigo. Es mi promesa. La cumpliré”. Se despertó tiritando. El portátil encendido alumbraba la mesa. A su alrededor todo estaba en orden: los libros perfectamente alineados, las fotografías le sonreían, sobre la alfombra impecable las zapatillas colocadas una al lado de la otra. En su cabeza aún aturdida resonaba “cumpliré mi promesa” y él respondió “y yo volveré a empezar”.

“I am always going to be with you. It is my promise”. I’ll fulfil it. He woke up shivering. The laptop turned on illuminated the table. Around him all was tidy, photos smiled him, on the impeccable carpet the slippers put one beside the other. In her mind almost dazed echoed “I’ll fulfill my promise” and he answered “and I will come back to start again”
